About The Wire Review

The Wire Review helps remote workers, freelancers and small teams choose the tools and setup that make working from anywhere easier and safer.

Remote work comes with a long list of decisions: which VPN, which hosting plan, which chair, which password manager. Most of the advice online is either too technical or too promotional. The Wire Review aims to sit in between – clear explanations of what matters, honest about trade-offs, and written for people who'd rather get back to work.

Who writes The Wire Review

The Wire Review is an independent site written by Tony Ngo. I run small online businesses from Vietnam – selling on Amazon and through my own online store – and I do almost all of that work remotely, with the same kinds of tools these guides cover: website builders, hosting, password managers, backups and video calls.

I build and maintain my own websites. This site runs on Netlify (static hosting), and my online store runs on Shopify (a hosted website builder). When a guide draws on that first-hand experience, it says so.

I am not a security engineer or an ergonomics specialist. For security and health-related topics I rely on official documentation, published independent audits and recognised guidance, and I link to or name those sources rather than presenting them as my own testing.
